3 SECRETS ABOUT THE BEER OF OUR RESTAURANT
At La Trela, restaurant in Valchiavenna, we take beer very seriously! There are 3 secrets that make it so good. Which ones?
1) WE DISPEL A MYTH: HANDS UP FOR THE FOAM!
Sometimes don’t you feel an annoying swelling sensation while you’re drinking a beer? Well, it means that they have served it you badly! You absolutely don’t have to slowly tap the glas to avoid the foam, as many people believe, indeed! Strong pressure is needed to “break” the bubbles of CO₂ and enjoy the double benefit that this entails. In fact, in this way the carbon dioxide is released, lightening the beer (goodbye swelling!) and at the same time it forms the foam that protects the beer itself from oxidation and helps to keep the fragrance intact. This is how we serve beer at La Trela restaurant.
2) WE SERVE A… “CURSED” BEER!
Don’t worry, our beer doesn’t have an evil eye! “Cursed” (in Italian “maledetta”) is … his name 🙂 Since a couple of months you’ll find at our restaurant the Belgian Ale from the Birra del Borgo brewery, called “cursed” because it is “bloody good”. If you are tired of sipping the usual light beer while eating your pizza, we suggest you to try this amber, with a slightly more intense flavor, which conquers even the most experienced beer lovers. We met her at the RistoExpo di Erba (a famous trade fair) and it was “love at the first sip”
