Lake Como Adventure Park! Have fun with your whole family!
You just need to ask to the right people to find out quickly how many experiences you can live in Valchiavenna and Como Lake with your children. And who could give you better advices than a MOM who loves her region and always wants to intertain her son? You’re lucky, our receptionist Michela has the perfect idea for your wonderful family day!
Hi Michela, what is the Lake Como Adventure Park?
The Lake Como Adventure Park, near Gravedona, is an adventure park with different routes of varying difficulty and height. There are pulleys, tibetan bridges, zip lines … all suspended between the trees! It’s a place where kids have a lot of fun and parents have a great excuse to come back to kids 🙂
The minimum height for the children is 1.10 meter on the wrist raising the arm … Tommaso, who is 3 years old, could make it by the skin of his teeth …
How can you reach the Lake Como Adventure Park?
We started from Verceia, in Valchiavenna. Reached Dongo, on the western shore of Como Lake, at the first roundabout we took the exit on the right (on the wall there is a large sign indicating the direction to take). We have crossed some little villages – from there the view of Como Lake is truly fascinating! – while slowly the road, completely paved, became a bit ‘narrow and tortuous. At the intersections, in general, there are small signs that indicate the correct route to follow to get to your destination, where we left the car in a large free parking.
The Adventure Park is located in a quiet forest, in a panoramic position, with wonderful views of the surrounding valleys.
You told us that the Lake Como Adventure Park offers different types of routes. Which one did you choose?
Tommaso was able to make the squirrel’s path and the owl’s path, which are located at a height so we could follow him along the way and eventually help him if the carabiner got jammed. After the first launch with the pulley, while he screamed”mammaaaaa!” he had a lot of fun and didn’t want to stop anymore.
The staff was very kind: there were two young guys who, after putting Tommaso helmet and harness, explained him how to move on the path. They followed him during his first few laps to help him in the various steps.
Can you have lunch in the park?
There are tables for picnics (at Hotel Saligari, on request, we prepare abundant packed lunches for our guests) and a small kiosk with fresh drinks. But we didn’t stop there, because Tommaso is still too young and we didn’t know how tired he would have be, so we preferred to come back home for lunch.
I wonder if Tommaso was really happy with the day spent at Adventures Park …
Tommaso did you like the owl’s path or the squirrel’s path best?
I liked both a lot, there were the ropes, the nets, I climbed, I jumped … There was a rope on which I had to walk in balance, that was one of my favorites. You have to go too, it was beautiful!
Did you get a little scared when you walked on the rope between two trees?
Noooo! I had a helmet because if I had felt, I could have hurt myself. A nice guy put it on me. But I never felt! Then the nice guy also put me a band (only on the stomach, not on the legs), they tied me to the ropes and they explained to me how to do the paths well. I was so brave that after a few walks I went alone!
What a courage!
Yes, I also had to crawling on the bridges! The routes were not easy but at the same time not too hard.
So would you like to return to the Lake Como Adventure Park?
Yes, of course!
